This is the "new and improved" Rex alarm. It has 2 different dog sounds and one 2-dog sound. It has other sounds that I don't really find useful like a siren, a chirping sound, and a doorbell. It also has a mute button which is really nice. It mutes the alarm for 15 minutes. I read that the earlier version of this product had issues with motion detection from the back and sides of the unit. This one also has this problem, but the range on the back and sides seems much more limited than from the front and I found a place to put it that works without me accidentally setting it off. The sensitivity knob doesn't seem to do much. Volume is loud enough even though I have a glass door in front of my wooden door. It also has no problem detecting motion through both doors, although even with the sensitivity at max, you have to be pretty close to the door for it to alarm. It loses one star for the back/side motion detection, and for the sensitivity knob. Otherwise this is a great product.
