This is a great fan. It is well made and very sturdy. I mounted it to a brick wall on my porch and it does great. You should understand that this fan is commercial grade. It is very powerful. On its lowest setting this fan will push a good amount of air. But it is not quiet! That's just a fact of life if you want a high-powered fan. But you should understand that you will have to raise your voice to speak over the noise this thing produces. On it's highest setting, it sounds very much like a small prop plane taxiing down the runway. My wife was a bit shocked by the noise, though she loved the breeze.
